Privacy policy

This website runs no analytics and no advertising tags, and it sets no cookies. It loads exactly one script from anywhere other than this domain — the bot check on the quote form — and the only personal information we hold about you is what you tell us, either on that form or when you call.

Who we are

Sullivan's Pool Service, a pool and spa service company operating in Austin, Texas. You can reach us on (512) 503-1116 or at customerservice@sullivanspoolservices.com.

What this website collects

Almost nothing. As of the date at the bottom of this page, this site loads no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixels, no embedded video, no third-party fonts and no social widgets. It sets no cookies of any kind, including no first-party analytics cookies. The one exception is described immediately below.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical request data any web server needs in order to serve a page — your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string — and retains it briefly for security and abuse prevention. We do not have access to it in a form that identifies you, and we do not use it for marketing.

If that changes, this paragraph changes with it. The text you are reading is generated from the site's own configuration, so it cannot describe a site other than the one that is actually running.

The one third-party script, and why

The quote form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It is the only script on this site loaded from anywhere other than this domain, and it loads only on pages carrying the form — not on the rest of the site.

It exists because a public form with no protection is filled in by machines within days, and a lead we cannot tell apart from a machine is a lead we cannot act on. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not use personal data to train models, does not track people across sites, and is not used for advertising. Cloudflare already serves every byte of this site, so it is not a new company receiving your data.

The form itself works whether or not that script loads, including with JavaScript switched off entirely. If it does not load, the form still submits and we still get your enquiry.

What the quote form remembers

If you arrive from an advertisement or a search result, your browser is asked to remember which one for the length of your visit, so that a quote request can be matched to it. This is stored in your own browser, in what is called session storage — not a cookie — and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

It is sent to us only if you actually submit the form, and it is used only to work out which advertisements are worth paying for. It is not shared, sold, or used to build a profile of you.

What we collect when you contact us

When you fill in the quote form, or call, text or email us, we keep what you tell us: your name, your phone number or email address, your service address, and details about your pool. We keep it because we need it to quote the work, schedule the visits and bill you, and we keep it for as long as you are a customer plus the period our accountant and the IRS require afterwards.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than the service providers we need in order to operate — for example, the company that processes a payment, or our accountant. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not give it to data brokers. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

Your rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to:

  • know what personal information we have collected about you;
  • have it deleted, subject to the records we are legally required to keep;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • opt out of sale or sharing — which is moot here, because we do neither;
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of them, call (512) 503-1116 or email customerservice@sullivanspoolservices.com and say what you want. We will not ask you to create an account to do it.

Global Privacy Control

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a binding opt-out request, and we publish a GPC support file to say so. Since this site currently runs no tracking at all, there is nothing for it to switch off — but if that changes, the signal will be honored by preventing the tag from loading, not merely by declining to store a cookie.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the review date below. Material changes — particularly anything that introduces tracking — will be reflected in the “what this website collects” section above before the change goes live, not after.
