Accessibility statement

Sullivan’s Pool Service aims to make this website usable with a keyboard, assistive technology, and reduced-motion settings. Core content, navigation and the quote form work without JavaScript. Optional scripts enhance forms, privacy choices and short videos. Testing is ongoing; this statement is not a claim of complete WCAG conformance. Call or use the contact form if you encounter a barrier.

What we have done

  • Core content works with JavaScript off. Pages and the mobile menu use HTML and CSS. Forms can submit without their enhancement, subject to server validation and the United States-only inquiry policy.
  • Keyboard navigable throughout, with a visible focus ring on every interactive element and a skip-to-content link as the first stop.
  • Readable colors. Text uses dark ink on light backgrounds or light text on dark sections. Automated checks do not independently verify every rendered color combination or state.
  • Touch-friendly controls. Main buttons and navigation have generous tap areas. Inline text links follow the surrounding text and are not all the same size.
  • Less automatic motion. Videos are muted, play once for less than five seconds, and have still-image fallbacks. Reduced-motion and data-saving preferences keep the still. Scrolling lists have pause controls and remain static without JavaScript.
  • Headings run in order on every page, one h1 per page, with real landmarks — header, nav, main, footer — so a screen reader can jump between them.
  • Link text says where it goes. No “click here”, and no aria-label that replaces visible text with something different, which breaks voice control.
  • Data tables use real table markup with row and column headers, and scroll inside their own container so the page never scrolls sideways.

What we know is not perfect

  • The company logo is a raster image of a painted sign. Its text is reproduced as the link's accessible name, but the artwork itself cannot be resized as cleanly as vector type would be.
  • Automated checks cover document structure, labels and other detectable issues; browser checks supplement them. A complete screen-reader study with users has not been completed. These checks are not independent certification.
