What weekly pool service costs in Austin

Sullivan’s Pool Service charges one flat monthly rate for weekly residential service in Austin, set only by pool size: $275 a month for a small pool, $300 for a medium pool and $325 for a large pool. Every tier covers the weekly cleaning, water testing and balancing, routine balancing chemicals and a written visit note. Filter cleaning is a fixed $150 a cleaning, and repairs, replacement equipment and one-time recovery work are quoted and approved before they begin.

Three prices, one measurement

For weekly residential service in Austin, Sullivan’s Pool Service charges a flat monthly rate, and the only thing that moves it is the size of the pool. A small pool is $275 a month, a medium pool is $300 a month and a large pool is $325 a month. Nothing else changes which tier you are in: not the neighborhood, not the season and not how much the pool gets used.

How your tier gets confirmed

The first step is simple. Send the dimensions of your pool, and Sullivan’s confirms which of the three tiers it falls into before service starts.

What happens at each weekly visit

Service runs on a fixed route, so the same technician comes on the same weekday each week. The visit starts with the water surface and the shell: skimming, brushing the walls, steps and waterline, and vacuuming the floor. The skimmer and pump baskets are emptied, and the filter pressure is read against the clean reading recorded for that filter.

Then the water is tested. The readings cover free and total chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and stabilizer. Where a reading has drifted, the correction is dosed during the same visit, and if a correction is only treating a symptom, you are told so. While on site, the technician also looks over the pump, the filter, the heater, the cleaner and any automation. Before the technician leaves, a written note records what was done, what went into the water and anything that needs a closer look.

Chemicals are already in the price

Routine balancing chemicals are included in the monthly rate. The dosing it takes to keep your water in balance week to week does not come back to you as a separate line on the bill. A busy summer of swimming does not move you into a higher tier; only the size of the pool decides which of the three rates applies.

What is priced separately

A few kinds of work sit outside the weekly rate. Filter cleaning is one of them, and it has a fixed price of its own: $150 a cleaning, with no visit needed to price it.

Repairs, replacement equipment and one-time recovery work are different. Each of those is requested on its own, quoted first, and only started once you have approved the quote, and the timing of a repair is confirmed job by job. That includes a pool that has turned green. If you see the water change between visits, get in touch with what you noticed and any test results you have taken. Green water has to be assessed, because its look alone cannot tell anyone the cause or whether it is safe to swim, and the recovery work is quoted and approved before it begins.

Your part between visits

The weekly visit is a service schedule, not a testing schedule. The CDC advises checking chlorine and pH at least twice a day, and more often when the pool is busy, so owners still take those quick readings between visits. A weekly service visit does not stand in for that guidance.

Being home is not required

You do not need to be home on service day. What the technician needs is gate access you have agreed on and any pets kept away from the work area. If the gate is locked, or entry needs a code or a key, say so before the first visit so the arrangement is in place from the start.

Putting the numbers together

For most owners the math is short. Find your tier from the pool size, and that monthly rate covers the weekly cleaning, the testing and balancing, the routine chemicals and the written note. Filter cleaning is billed at its own fixed price each time a filter is cleaned. Repairs, new equipment and recovery work are quoted before they start.

Next step: weekly pool cleaning service.
